This programme is intended for all those who need to address meetings or make public presentations, internally or externally. The course is suitable for newcomers to public speaking as well as those who wish to brush up their skills.

Course Objectives

Plan, structure and organise materials, knowing what to put in and take out
Prepare a visually stimulating and memorable presentation using PowerPoint and other visual aids
Practise and develop skills to ensure their message is understood and remembered
Handle questions from the audience effectively

Presentation, group work and practical participation. As the course is highly practical participants are expected to make short presentations to the group. These will be based on pre-course work and overnight work between days 1 and 2.

Important notes

Participants' presentations will be captured on video with constructive feedback given. These are intended to be used as visual course notes for future use: there will be no group viewing of individual videotapes during the course.

Participants will need to bring a laptop that has PowerPoint and their own in-house PowerPoint template installed, to each day’s training.
